Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) 2017

Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) for admission to undergraduate programs of engineering and medical.

The official website for BCECE board is http://bceceboard.com.

BCECE 2016 will be held in two stages-

  • BCECE Stage I
  • BCECE Stage II

BCECE Stage I will be held on 17th April 2016.

BCECE Stage II will be held on 15th May 2016.

The admit card for BCECE 2016 Stage-I is available from 3rd April 2016. Candidates can download their admit card from the official website of BCECE Board http://bceceboard.com.

BCECE 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for the BCECE 2016.

  • Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Candidate must have passed Class XII with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology as the main subjects. Those who are appearing in the Class XII exam in 2016 are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidate must have obtained at least 45% (40% for SC/ST) marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology in Class XII.
  • There is no age limit for Engineering and Pharmacy courses.
  • Candidate’s age must be at least 17 years as on 31st December 2016 for Medical course.
  • Candidate’s age must be 17 years as on 1st July 2016 for Agricultural course.

BCECE 2017 Exam Pattern

BCECE 2016 will be conducted in two stages. All the eligible candidates will be allowed to appear for Stage-I examination. Only those who qualify the 1st stage of the examination will be called to appear in Stage-II examination.

BCECE Stage-I

  • The questions will be available in both languages, English and Hindi.
  • There will be multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
  • The exam will carry 600 marks in total.
  • There will be 50 questions from each section.
  • Each correct answer will be given 4 marks and one mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer.
  • Physics and Chemistry section is compulsory to attempt. Candidates who are appearing for engineering can opt for mathematics while those appearing for medical can opt for Biology.
  • The total duration of the examination will be 2 hours and 15 minutes.

BCECE Stage-II

  • The questions will be available in both languages, English and Hindi.
  • There will be multiple-choice questions from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
  • The exam will carry 1200 marks in total.
  • There will be 100 questions from each section.
  • Each correct answer will be given 4 marks and one mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer.
  • Physics and Chemistry section is compulsory to attempt. Candidates who are appearing for engineering can opt for mathematics while those appearing for medical can opt for Biology.
  • The duration of each section of the examination will be 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Physical world and measurement, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Motion of System of Particles and Rigid body, Gravitation, Properties of Bulk Matter, Heat and Thermodynamics, Behavior of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory, Oscillations and Waves, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic effects of current & Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating currents, Electromagnetic Waves, Optics, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Atoms and Nuclei, Electronic Devices, Communication Systems.

Chemistry

Some basic concepts of Chemistry, Structure of Atom, Classification of Elements and Periodicity in Properties, Chemical Bonding and Molecular Structure, States of Matter: gases and liquids, Thermodynamics, Equilibrium, Redox Reactions, Hydrogen, s-Block Elements (Alkali and Alkaline earth metals) General Introduction p-Block Elements, Organic Chemistry – Some Basic Principles and Techniques, Classification of hydrocarbons, Environmental Chemistry, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, p-Block Elements, d- and f- Block Elements, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic acids, Organic compounds containing Nitrogen, Biomolecules, Polymers, Chemistry in Everyday life.

Date of availability of admit card for Stage-I exam from- 3rd April 2017

Date of Stage-I exam- 17th April 2017

Date of Stage-II exam- 15th May 2017

Date of declaration of result- May/June 2017

BCECE 2017 Admit Card

BCECE 2016 Admit Card are available on the official website of BCECE Board http://bceceboard.comsince 3rd April 2016.Candidates are advised to take the printout of admit card and keep it safe until the end of the admission process. Entry in examination hall will only be allowed with the admit card.

BCECE 2017 Result

The result of BCECE Stage-I will be declared in the month of May 2016 before BCECE Stage-II exam.

The result of BCECE Stage-IIwill be declared in the month of May/June 2016.
