About CTET 

Teacher Eligibility Test known as TET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools. It is conducted by both Central government and state governments in India. Most states conduct their own TET. The test is conducted in order to fulfill and achieve the goals of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education ACT.

Qualifying Marks And Award Of CTET Certificate

The candidates appearing in CTET will be issued Marks Statement. The Candidates securing 60% and above marks will be issued Eligibility Certificate.

  • School Managements (Government, Local bodies, Government aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to person belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.
  • Qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

CTET Feb 2017 Online Notification

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will soon release the notification for CTET 2017. The official notification for CTET 2017 was supposed to be released in January 2017. But due to some administrative reason, some delay is there in the release of notification. There is no official update from CBSE specifying reasons of delay. Candidates who are looking for government jobs in teaching should have patience and keep a constant look over the official website of CBSE or CTET. All the candidates are advised to keep preparing for CTET Exam 2017 for avoiding last minute preparation.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test also is known as CTET is the Teacher Eligibility Test for the candidates who have a degree of  B.ed or any other equivalent teaching programme. CTET is the qualifying exam for getting the appointment as a teacher in government schools, private schools, Navodaya Schools, Central School. Only those candidates, who have qualified CTET will only be eligible to apply for recruitment in Government Schools. CTET is the mandatory eligibility exam for Teacher Recruitment. Approximately 1 million of the candidates appear for CTET Exam in every session. The passing percentage in CTET Exam is very low every year. It has been observed that only 10 percent of candidates qualify the exam.

  • Number of Papers: Two (Paper I & Paper II)
  • Paper I is conducted for aspirants having desire to become teacher for class I to V.
  • Paper II is organized for aspirants having desire to become teacher for class VI to VIII.
  • Aspirants interested for both are required to appear for both papers.

About CTET

The Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE will be organized the CTET 2017 in February for 11th edition in which large numbers of candidates will appear.
